These are a few photos from my a trip to Amish country in western Pennsylvania. Enjoy!
This is a waterfall across the street from Mary Ann’s house, my friend and co-author of the Adventures of Lily Lapp series.
The Amish in Somerset County are more isolated than in Lancaster. Smaller districts, more spread out. I didn’t even see very many buggies on the road.
An open buggy.
It’s more wooded and hilly in Somerset County. Cows are pastured in the woods, with wire fencing to keep them in.
Another Amish home. It grows like a family grows.
