Since I’ve learned about the Amish this one question has been on my mind. In my question, let’s theorise a Amish family—Husband and Wife and let’s say 3 or 4 children—something happens and the family gets Shunned from the community. Now lets say that while they are shunned something horrible happens to the parents, possibly while riding in the buggy it gets hit by a car and heaven forbid the parents pass away. What will happen to the children of the shunned parents? Will the Amish community re-accept them or will they be stuck in limbo? —Jim B.
Amish children are never shunned even if their parents are.
