A new year means time for new blog features! Welcome to the first Reader Bag of the year—reader questions answered by fellow readers, a virtual bulletin board. Every so often, we’ll feature a Reader Bag post with your book-ish questions (what is your go-to Amish cookbook, what was the name of the book about…, etc.). If anyone in the Amish Wisdom community knows the answer, leave a comment on the post!
Can anyone help track down this reader question:
At the end of one of my novels was a lovely Amish book with characters Lilabet and Henric Peterson at Nickels mines in Bart township, Lancaster County PA. It started at chapter 13 with a barn raising and evolved to a young girl (Lilabet) who wrote a book which was published without her fathers ok. She got shunned after going to New York City for editing. She was in an awful accident and was labeled Jane Doe…..How can I find the name of this book? It is so good but I just got a snippet.
Thank you, Joyce R.
